Here at I Need Stuff we see a lot of products competing with each other to become the best in sector. Recently, we looked at the best Drawing Tablet with Screen to find out where you should put your hard earned cash. Who came out on top depended on a number of factors, not necessarily in this order:
- Price (of course)
- Performance (i.e. response time)
- Quality of Screen
- Quality of software
As you can see, there are a number of things to take into account when finding your ideal tablet. We’ve gone to the trouble of identifying the top five tablets found on Amazon today, to save you the trouble! So, let’s look for the very best Drawing Tablet with Screen!
What we liked about the Parblo Coast 22 initially was that it was both cordless and battery free. This means it can be thinner than most and also means you won’t run into some of the hardware related problems that other graphic tablets may have. With 2048 pressure levels, a good 1920 x 1080 resolution and excellent viewing angles you won’t be disappointed with this.
The XP-Pen Artist 16 may be more on the expensive side but with a great quality screen and an 8192 pressure drawing stylus, it’s an impressive bit of kit. The resolution is 1080p and has an excellent viewing angle over 178 degrees.
The PNBOO has an astonishingly good IPS screen of 21.5 inches and has just had its price reduced by a couple of hundred quid is something you really need to look at before making your decision. With 2048 levels of pressure and a resolution of 1920 x 1080, you’ll need a good reason not to pull the trigger with this one. Maybe come back to this after you’ve looked at our top two?
Okay, this is at number two but arguably it could be number one, depends on your budget. The Huion Kamvas GT-191 is a tablet with some very impressive numbers behind it. Are you ready for this? Firstly, 8192 pen pressure will give you a precision beyond most of the other tablets. The screen is a massive 19.5-inch widescreen and has a contrast of 3000:1, the screen can also be viewed up to an angle of 178 degrees.
This may be a somewhat controversial decision to place the Simbans PicassoTab at number one spot, but hear me out! Firstly, the price. It’s a third of most of the other tablets. It has a very nice 10″ IPS screen which has a very nice quality to it. But does it have the pressure sensitivity, screen size or viewing angle of others? No, but you’ll find that most people who buy these tablets buy an expensive one first. They buy it, it’s great but then realise (usually after only a few days) that the expensive tablet doesn’t make them a better artist 🙂 So, this is why we’re putting the cheap one first. Buy it, use it and if you’re still using it after a couple of months, sell it (getting back most of your money) and go and buy what’s at number 2!
